One of the greatest privileges about living in Maine is the clean air, access to some amazing waterways, picturesque mountain views and diverse lands in which we call home. I want to keep it that way.
The recent “Forever Chemical” and PFAS crisis affecting our lands, water, wildlife – and ourselves has been extremely heartbreaking to see unfold and destroy nearby farmer’s life’s work and cause a water crisis in some towns here in Somerset County. We need to do a better job in mitigating and working to resolve this and the recent vote to continue to allow PFAS use was disgusting and disturbing, we know they are causing harm and the majority of those representing Maine at the State House continued to allow them to be used.
We only get one Earth, let’s act like it!
